Yeah, I'm not familiar with the v600, but my V500 was bought to replace an HP G4010. You'll be happy with either, in my opinion the V500 is a great scanner and I'm sure the V600 will give similar results. The V500 is still listed on the Epson UK website alongside the V600 and V700, although I've heard somewhere that the V600 was meant to replace the V500.
I believe the V600 has a different sensor (still a CCD of the same size though) and a later version of Photoshop Elements bundled with it. I didn't even realise that there was a V600 out until someone mentioned it the other month the changes are very minor.
I have the V500 and I'm very happy with it. Anyone know/experienced anything about this? Ok, so what I mean is: I´ve heard that the V500 is a bit sharper than the V600, even though its older. Is there any major difference between the V500 and V600? The price difference is quite small so I was wondering if there is any reason not to go for the V600? Thinking of picking up one of these tomorrow.
